The Star-Lock and ProTop™ work together to provide an unparalleled pole top protection system. The Star-Lock ensures structural integrity by preventing thru-checks and splits, while the Pro Top provides environmental protection from weather, wildlife, and is designed to permit additional preservative application.
| The Star-Lock locks the center of the pole top together with a 14 gauge steel internal band, keeping the heart of the pole free from checks. The unique patented design of the Star-Lock changes the checking pattern of the wood by forcing stress and small checks to develop on the pole perimeter. | The ProTop™ shields the top of the pole from environmental degradation due to moisture, bird roosting, and freeze/thaw damage. The unique design of the ProTop also provides a secure compartment for the application of chemical preservatives, if desired. |
The Star-Lock and ProTop, when used together, provide a complete system to reinforce, protect and preserve the top of the wood pole. As a team, they can greatly extend the life span of a pole, assure a solid base for pole top fixtures and ensure lineman safety.
