Unit Two Boiler
Boiler: type V.U. 40 S rated at 380,000lb/hr, 700 lbs per sq. inch gauge, 825°F, 3 off 573 coal pulverizers (Raymond), 1 off de-aerator storage tank 9 feet by 35 feet - rated at 50 psig 450°F,
1 off James Howden Induced Draft Fan type and size RJ/1.800 A3 inlet louver control. Test block conditions SCFM 343.600 static pressure WGB6, temperature of 323°F, Speed rpm 880, shaft power HP 815, complete with 800 HP Westinghouse motor.
1off James Howden forced draft fans type and size 2F.7300 A.3, test block conditions static pressure W.G. 11.9, Temperature 80°F, volume CFM 139,000, shaft HP 326, speed rpm 875, complete with 350 HP Westinghouse motor.
2 off James Howden Lungstrom Air heater type and size VIS 18 1/2 by 64 inches, complete with 3 HP gearhead 1150 rpm motor drive.
Unit One Brown Boveri Turbine Generator
The turbine has a rated continuous loading of 30 MW and a peak loading of 32 MW. The operating pressure is 600 psig at 825°F with a condenser pressure of 1.24 inches of HG. The turbine is complete with the following: lube oil system and coolers, four stage feed heating and one raw water evaporator. The turbine exhaust steam is condensed in a 26,800 sq ft Brown Boveri surface condenser, which is complete with steam jet air ejector and extraction pump.
The steam turbine is directly connected to a 35.3 MVA X 14,400 Volt 85 PF alternator, which is complete with main and pilot exciter.
The generator output is connected to the 72kV transmission system with a 14.400kV step-up transformer and a 72kV oil circuit breaker and provides 4.16kV station auxiliary power with a 14.4kV step-down transformer. The Packard 14.4kV - 72.0 kV generator transformer is oil filled with a PCB level of 1.8PPM. A 69.0 kV V 500 VA Packard oil filled potential transformer provides the PCB level 2.2 PPM, the CGE generator breaker is rated at 800 Amps. 69 kV. Oil fill with a PCB level .8 PPM. A 14.4 kV to 2.4 kV oil filled Malony transformer provides the station auxiliary power.
The unit one auxiliary system consists of 1 X 16-cell distribution MCC. Two Maloney dry type step-down transformers 2400 V/480 volt with a 28 cell 480-volt distribution MCC.
Unit Two Brown Boveri Turbine Generator
The configuration of unit two generator is the same as unit one, however, some equipment suppliers differ.
Condensing plant provided by Foster Wheeler. Generator transformer - Westinghouse 7 PPM PCB. Generator breaker CGE PCB 5 PPM. Potential transformer Packard PCB 2.8 PPM. The unit 2 auxiliary system consists of a 6-cell 2400 distribution MCC A2400 to 480-Volt day type transformer and a 17-cell 480-volt distribution MCC.
