This 117MW Cogeneration Coal Plant began operation in 1991 and operated until shutdown in Oct. 2014. It is a complete operating plant in good condition. Located in the US.  For sale to be moved.

Major Components

Boiler : Ahlstrom Pyroflow CFB; 910,000 lbs/hr 1005F, 1525 psig.
Turbine : Hitachi, Ltd.; 3600 rpm; 14 stage; 1450 psig, 1000F, non-reheat, single flow.
Generator : Hitachi, Ltd.; brush type, 2 pole, hydrogen cooled.
Baghouse : Brant, 10 compartments, 256 bags per compartment, reverse air cleaning.
Cooling Towers : Harmon Cooling Tower; mechanical draft, 4 cells.
Condenser : Ecolaire Heat Transfer Co.
Fans : Barron Industries, primary, secondary and ID one each.
Electrical Switchgear : ABB Power Co and Westinghouse.
DCIS Controls : Foxboro Co.; with upgrades occurring in 1999, 2001, 2003 and 2005.
Feedwater cycle includes 5 stages of feedwater heaters including2 LP, deaerator, and 2 HP units.
Two 100% capacity boiler feed pumps, motor driven. Sulzer Bingham.
Two 100% condensate pumps. Sulzer Bingham.
Three 50% capacity circulating water pumps. Gould.

Fuel Handling

Plant burns coal and petroleum coke, can test burn other fuels.
Start-up fuel is natural gas.
Coal arrives via railcars having bottom dump unloading hoppers.
Primary storage is in coal barn, apprx. 60,000 ton capacity, 667 ft long, 180 ft wide, 125 ft high at apex.
Unloading and storage facilities are shared with SVM.
A separate pet coke handling facility was installed in 2001.
Pet coke arrives via truck, bottom dump.
Outside coal storage piles: short-term & long-term 134,408 tons.

Major Upgrades

DCS was upgraded in 2000, 2002 and 2003.
New CEMS was installed in 1999.

Maintenance History

Scheduled major T/G outage was performed in spring 2003. Next T/G outage is scheduled for 2009.
Plant can generate 104 MW, currently operates at 89 -104 MW.
Current heat rate: 11,460
Start Start-Up Time to Max (HR): 12-14 Cold / 4 Hot.

Facility operates under Title V Permit No. 50001051, effective 11/16/2005, expires 11/16/2010.
NOx emissions controlled to < 65 ppm (3hr), 104 lb/hr (3 hr), 456 tons/yr.
SOx emission controlled to < 37 ppm (3 hr), 83 lb/hr (3hr), 364 tons/yr.
CO emissions controlled to < 280 lb/hr (3hr), 1226 tons/yr.
PM-10 controlled to < 14.6 lb/hr (hourly).
No material NOVs.

Environment Site GAP Assessment

Environmental GAP Assessment, completed May 2006, showed no recognized environmental conditions.
Utilities, Services
Power : Direct tie to SCE at the plant,115kV
Natural Gas : Connect to PG&E, used as a start-up fuel.
Brackish water is supplied from wells shared with SVM.
Potable water is supplied from Ridgecrest via a SVM pipeline.
Local rail service is provided by Trona Railway Co. (owned by SVM).
Limestone is supplied from an ACE owned quarry apprx. 35 miles from the plant.
Ash is disposed on-site.
Waste water discharge to SVM.
